Goal Reflection

From a young age, I knew I wanted to be a teacher. I actually can’t remember a time when I didn’t have that as a professional goal. When I have a goal that I feel passionate about, short or long term, I work tirelessly to earn it. At the beginning of the year in January 2019, I had a new goal. I wanted to continue my goal as a lifelong learner and further my education.

Future Goals

Teachers are constantly learning and evolving with their students. I am a teacher who is passionate about being a lifelong learner. I am also a human that is eager to grow with the world we live in. With all of this in mind, I have planned self-directed objectives I want to work towards when my time as a graduate student ends. My future goals are narrowed down to three objectives, which are the following, implementing technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK) effectively, receiving further training for trauma-informed and culturally responsive teaching and becoming a technology leader for the school I work for.

Master's Synthesis

The MAET Program encourages and fosters iteration, reflection, and learning. I felt supported, heard, and inspired to push technological and pedagogical boundaries within myself and within our society. Through all of my courses, I sincerely felt apart of a learning community. I was given ample opportunities to give and receive feedback that propelled me to be a better educator. My dedicated professors and experienced colleagues shared their invaluable perspectives with me, which I am so grateful for. Through my learning, I have already begun fundamental changes in my classroom, such as encouraging more iteration with my students.
